Carol V. Garner, MD, Board Member, West Roxbury

Carol V. Garner, MD, an expert in Addiction Medicine who is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine, joined the Manet Board in 2014. Dr. Garner is Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, Boston, as well as Medical Director of its Medical/Behavioral Unit. She also is Co-Director of the Addiction Recovery Program at Faulkner Hospital, Boston.

Dr. Garner earned her Bachelors in Zoology at the University of Maine, Orono, and her Medical Degree at Tufts University School of Medicine, Boston, where she is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine. During her training, she completed three fellowships: Infectious Diseases, Massachusetts General Hospital; Critical Care, Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island and Addiction Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital.

A resident of West Roxbury, Dr. Garner has been named Teacher of the Year at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine.
