MaryAnn Dakkak, MD

Dr. Dakkak, who specializes in family medicine and obstetrics, will see patients at Manet’s North Quincy and Houghs Neck practice sites, providing a full spectrum of primary care services for patient of all ages, as well as a range of obstetrical services. She will deliver babies and perform cesarean sections and other procedures at BMC. At Manet, she will also offer women’s health services, including colposcopies, office gynecological exams, ultrasound and family planning. She is certified to prescribe buprenorphine (Suboxone and Subutex) and to provide HIV and Hepatitis C care.

When asked why she chooses to practice at a community health center, Dr. Dakkak responds, “I’ve always worked in community health centers. I like diversity in all forms and I believe that everyone deserves equal access to excellent care.”

Dr. Dakkak earned her medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco and completed her residency in family medicine at the Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency in Santa Rosa, CA. She also completed a fellowship in obstetrics at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA. She is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Boston University Medical School and also holds a master's degree in population and international health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She speaks French and Spanish, as well as limited Arabic.
